Actress Nidhhi Agerwal has filed a complaint with the cybercrime department against a social media user who started abusing her and issuing death threats against her the other day. The person in question has been named in the complaint.
“I am filing a complaint regarding the severe online harassment and life-threatening comments made by a user. On January 6th, I was repeatedly tagged in abusive comments on my Instagram account. The user issued direct threats against my life, my family, and others connected to me,” the iSmart Shankar actress said.
“The comments include alarming statements that allude to finding me and killing me within ten years. He also warned me he will destroy my entire family. He also targeted my reputation with baseless accusations and defamatory language. The user mentioned (two) public figures in his comment. He explicitly warned others not to interact with me and inked any association with me to further threats of harm. The individual accused me of wasting his time and claimed I caused him emotional harm, using this as a justification for his violent threats,” Nidhhi said in the complaint.
She repeatedly stated in her complaint that the person has intent to intimidate her, and cause distress to her. She also accused him of cyber harassment, criminal intimidation, and defamation. Nidhhi, who is currently doing The Raja Saab with Prabhas and Hari Hara Veera Mallu with Pawan Kalyan, urged the police to launch an immediate investigation.
