Nayanthara has urged her fans not to call her ‘Lady Superstar’ anymore. In a statement, the star actress wrote that their “unconditional love and affection” are enough for her. She added that her fans and supporters have always been there for her during hardships.
The versatile glamorous heroine acknowledged that the sobriquet ‘Lady Superstar’ owes itself to the “immense affection” showered upon her. While the title is “valuable”, she has “humbly” requested everyone to call her just Nayanthara. “This is because the name is what I hold the closest to my heart,” the Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy actress wrote, adding that her name represents her true self.
She feels titles like ‘Lady Superstar’ drive a chasm between her and her craft. While such titles are priceless, the “unconditional bond” with audience is what matters the most, Nayanthara added.
The actress, known for Jawan and other recent appearances, ended the message by writing that she expects the audience support to her to be unfading in the future as well.
Last year, an OTT platform releases her documentary, ‘Nayanthara – Beyond the Fairytale’, which documented her rise in the film industry.
