As expected, Natural Star Nani’s explosive mass and action film Dasara, made a huge buzz at the Filmfare 2024, winning six categories.
Natural Star Nani took home the prestigious Best Actor award for his passionate and complex portrayal of Dharani. ‘Mahanati’ actress Keerthy Suresh also received the Best Actress award for her outstanding performance as Vennela in Dasara, helmed by Srikanth Odela.
Also honored at the FilmFare Awards were Dasara’s technical and artistic genius. With this picture, filmmaker Srikanth Odela made his feature film directing debut and won an award for his inventive storytelling and visionary style. By becoming the first debut filmmaker to win a Filmfare Award and earn more than 100 crore at the box office with his first feature, Srikanth Odela achieved a new milestone.
Also, Sathyan Sooryan, the cinematographer of the critically acclaimed Dasara, won award for his outstanding work capturing the vibrant imagery of the movie. Avinash Kolla, the production designer, won the prize for his painstaking effort creating the sets and scenic backdrops for the movie.
Prem Rakshit Master, the choreographer, received recognition for his efforts on the catchy and upbeat song Dhoom Dhaam.
After winning Filmfare, Nani, who was happy about it, said that he had always wanted to win a lot of awards since he started acting. However, he now believes that cinema has changed his viewpoint and that all technicians should be given the credit they deserve.
2023 indeed is a very special year for Nani who scored two big blockbusters- Dasara and Hi Nanna. The actor will next be coming up with Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, helmed by Vivek Athreya, which will hit the screens on August 29th.
