Shiva Parvathi Cinema, a well known movie theatre in Kukatpally was destroyed in a major fire accident which occured in the midnight hours of 3rd January, 2022. The roof had completely collapsed due to the heavy fire. Luckily, there were no casualties as the incident occured in the late hours well after the last screening for the day.
As per the sources, it is known that the fire accident occurred due to a short circuit. The neighbours called the police and informed them about the accident. But the damage was done before the police reached there. However, they could stop the spread of the fire to the neighbouring buildings. An investigation is ongoing to assess the damage that occurred and the reasons behind the accident.

The theatre was playing the film Shyam Singha Roy before the fire accident occured. The film stars Nani as the lead actor. Nani came forward and responded to the loss of the theatre. He posted on his twitter handle about this incident. He wrote about his teenage days of watching the first day first shows of Mahesh Babu’s film in Shiva Parvathi theatre. “Sad to hear about the fire accident at Shiva Parvathi theatre. I remember watching Takkari Donga there on the first day in mad euphoria. Glad to know that no one is hurt”, he posted on twitter.
