Thandel is going to be a February 7th, 2025 release. Geetha Arts announced the release date today, ending the months-long suspense. The story of the Naga Chaitanya-Sai Pallavi starrer movie is based on certain real-life events from the village of D. Matchilesam in the Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh.
Thandel is touted to be an intense love story, and it’s fitting that it is going to hit the screens for the V-Day week. “Get ready to sail from the shores of love to the ocean full of emotions,” Geetha Arts wrote on social media.

Speaking at an event to announce the date, Allu Aravind said that deliberations went on for three weeks about the release date. “We never ever hinted that Thandel would be a Sankranthi release. The date we had in mind was December 20th, 2024. Sankranthi was never under consideration,” the senior producer clarified.
The music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, while Shamdat is handling the cinematography. Naveen Nooli serves as the editor, while Srinagendra Tangala takes on the role of art director.
