Actor Prabhas, who is pan-Indian actor, starred in the recent hit film Kalki 2898 AD opposite Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan. Kalki, which was directed by the young filmmaker Nag Ashwin, has gotten a tremendous amount of praise from people worldwide.
In a recent lengthy interview with the media, Nag Ashwin disclosed a plethora of fascinating insights about this film.
When it came to casting Lord Krishna in one of the legendary scenes from the Mahabharata, Nag Ashwin was invited to provide his thoughts.
When asked who he imagined playing Lord Krishna in the Kurukshetra scene of Kalki 2898 AD, director Nag Ashwin responded, “I wanted Lord Krishna’s role to remain mysteriously sacred. I didn’t want to reveal the face of actor KK, who played the part , or seek a well-known actor to represent Lord Krishna because of this.
Nag Ashwin was asked if he would want to cast Mahesh Babu to play Lord Krishna in Kalki 2898 AD’s sequel, to which he replied, “I would love to work with Mahesh Babu. But, as I told, I wanted Krishna’s role to be mysterious”.
While fans of superstars like Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan, NTR, Nani, and others maintain that their favorite actor would be a good fit for the character of Lord Krishna, Nag Ashwin’s decision to use a silhouette for the portrayal has received a lot of attention on social media platforms.
Kalki was released on June 27, and has been creating ripples at the worldwide box office ever since.
