Rebel star Prabhas, who ascended to worldwide fame after his ‘Baahubali’ series was last seen in ‘Salaar part 1: Ceasefire’, which was a massive blockbuster. Now that the pan-Indian star is gearing up with the most-hyped mythology-based sci-fi drama ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, his fans are awaiting its release, which is slated for June 27.
Ever since, media attention has been drawn to director Nag Ashwin, who has been promoting Kalki 2898 AD in his unique way. Speaking to a major media outlet, Nag Ashwin revealed that Indian mythology served as inspiration for Kalki 2898 AD.
He disclosed that he had scripted a scene that looked like it belonged to an Amar Chitra Katha character who would battle someone in “X-men.”
The director of “Mahanati” stated that he hopes the film’s June 27 release will leave viewers feeling “strange.” “I want people to feel incredibly strange after watching ‘Kalki’ in the theaters, like I experienced similar after seeing James Cameron’s “Avatar.”
“I created ‘Kalki’ specifically for my 10-year-old self,” he continued in the interview.
A few days ago, the makers of Kalki 2898 AD had unleashed a teaser introducing Bujji, the custom-made futuristic vehicle, that is said to be designed as Bhairava’s (Prabhas) comic sidekick in the movie.
Featuring an ensemble star cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani in key roles, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is directed by ‘Mahanati’ fame Nag Ashwin and produced by Vyjayanthi Movies.
Kalki 2898 AD, a multilingual, mythology-inspired sci-fi flick, is slated for its massive release on June 27, 2024.
