In Game Changer, actress Anjali has a meaty role. Sharing screen space with Global Star Ram Charan, she also gets the rare opportunity to endear herself to the pan-Indian audience with this film.
Parvathi is her character’s name in the movie. “My mother’s name is Parvathi Devi. We are drawn towards some factors while doing a film. Game Changer is a special film in my career, and I invested a lot of hard work in it,” the Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu actress says.
Her character is a total surprise in the movie. “All that I can reveal is that that Parvathi was challenging to portray. It took a lot out of me during a few days of shooting. Sometimes, I used to take the character home,” Anjali says, talking about the emotional impact she experienced while doing the film.
Those who have watched Game Changer hold the bullish view that Anjali might secure a National Award. Anjali is aware of such hype. She is glad that her performance is being talked about even before the release of the film. “There are many shades to my character. Some of the things that Parvathi goes through are not experienced by us in the normal course of our lives,” she says.
Elaborating on her character, she says, “Parvathi is Appanna’s (the elder Ram Charan) wife in the movie. Their bond and their relationship are shown beautifully.” Since the RRR actor fell in love with his character, it was that much more easy for Anjali to do the coordination part.
Describing Ram Charan as one of the best co-stars, Anjali says that Game Changer is Shankar film. Working with Shankar was a thrilling experience. “I was a bit afraid on the first day of working with him, but he made me feel comfortable right from the start. Such a wonderful person he is,” Anjali says.
She vouches for the song ‘Arugu Meeda’, whose visuals she is confident will stand out. Anjali feels extremely privileged to have got to work under Dil Raju’s banner. The film’s music has been composed by Thaman.
Game Changer will hit the screens on January 10.
