Megastar Chiranjeevi says Kuberaa was an immersive experience

Mega Blockbuster celebrations of Kuberaa on Sunday evening were a gala affair. Since Megastar Chiranjeevi was present as the chief guest, the joy was infectious. Speaking on the occasion, the Vishwambhara actor suggested that Kuberaa is a game-changing film because other filmmakers would be inclined to go beyond mounting action films. Here are the highlights from his speech.

Before this movie’s release, I asked Nagarjuna about Kuberaa. When he told me Dhanush was playing the lead role, I asked him what made him do the film. He told me he felt like doing something different so that new doors open up for himself. Having watched the movie, I can say he as 100% correct. The fact that Sekhar Kammula wrote this character and Nagarjuna took it up can be considered the first success.

I can’t imagine anyone else other than Dhanush playing Deva. The treatment is so realistic. The character that truly touched the heart in this film was Deva. Among all the actors in India with such a strong star image, he is the only one who could take on such a role and portray it so naturally. He completely immersed himself in his character. Dhanush truly deserves the Best Actor award for this film. I am congratulating him in advance.

Sekhar Kammula has earned a permanent place in the hearts of the audience by treating each of his films like a precious gem. His films are always close to reality.

Suniel Narang’s father, Narayana Das garu, was an incredibly honest man. There is no one else in this business as truthful as he was. As his successors, Suniel and now Janhvi, representing the third generation, are moving forward. I will definitely do a film with Janhvi.

Devi Sri Prasad is like a son to me. Even during my comeback, he gave me amazing albums.
