Megastar Chiranjeevi is currently working with Koratala Siva for his next project which is currently being to as Chiranjeevi 152. The temporary working title of the movie is Acharya. The shooting schedule for Chiru 152 was moving at a brisk pace before the lockdown was imposed and now the filmmakers are hoping to resume the shooting once the lockdown is lifted.
In an interview with a popular news daily, Chiranjeevi expressed his desire to work with young directors, which is why he is working on a remake of the popular Malayalam film Lucifer which would be directed by Sujeeth. Moreover, Chiranjeevi also said Meher Ramesh wanted to work with CHiranjeevi for a long time and has narrated a script to him which Chiranjeevi liked. Therefore Chiranjeevi would be working with Meher Ramesh as well. Chiranjeevi sums up by saying he would be doing three projects this year and all of them are confirmed as of now.
Meher Ramesh has not directed any movie since 2013 with his last movie being the Daggubati Venkatesh starrer Shadow. Other notable works of Meher Ramesh include Billa and Shakthi. Meher Ramesh would be making his return as a director once again with the Megastar Chiranjeevi project.
Chiranjeevi is keeping himself occupied with overseeing the distribution of essential commodities to the families of the daily wage workers of Tollywood. The lockdown has left the workers without any work and thereby depriving them of their source of income. Chiranjeevi stepped up to the task and began the Corona Crisis Fund, which saw a lot of celebrities contributing to the fund including Amitabh Bachchan.
