Megastar Chiranjeevi’s 157th movie is finally on the floors. The regular shoot commenced today in Hyderabad under the stewardship of Anil Ravipudi, who has lately been called the hit machine of Telugu cinema.
“The shoot commences with talkie part. The director is filming some important scenes on Chiranjeevi and others,” the makers informed through an update. Chiranjeevi and Ravipudi are setting out to deliver a full-on entertainer with MEGA157.
Recently, actress Nayanthara was roped in to play the female lead. The project was confirmed earlier this year. In March, the behind-the-screens talents were revealed. Music director Bheems Ceciroleo and cinematographer Sameer Reddy are among the ones. Produced jointly by Sahu Garapati of Shine Screens and Sushmitha Konidela of Gold Box Entertainments, the film will be a Sankranthi 2026 release.
In another news, Sahu Garapati has called on Union Minister for Coal & Mines Kishan Reddy for a “warm and insightful interaction”.
Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi’s already-filmed movie, Vishwambhara, has completed its VFX work to the tune of 90%. The Mallidi Vassisht directorial, produced by UV Creations, will finalize its release date soon. This one co-stars Trisha Krishnan, Ashika Ranganath and others. MM Keeravani is the music director.
