Mathu Vadalara is a new age comedy thriller movie directed by Ritesh Rana and made on a low budget. The film received critical acclaim for its gripping story telling and the clever humour. Mathu Vadalara also introduced M.M. Keeravani’s children Kaala Bhairava and Sri Simha as music director and lead actor, respectively. Although the movie is made on a low budget the visual storytelling is on par with any of the high budget movies being made. Mathu Vadalara became such a big hit it received extra screens and film times in Hyderabad and was particularly popular with the millennial audience.
Thanks to its immense popularity, Mathu Vadalara is now going to get a Bollywood remake as the Ritesh Rana directorial caught the attention of the Hindi audience. Mathu Vadalara is currently available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. According to the latest buzz, Ritesh Rana who directed the original would helm the Hindi remake.

Ritesh who began drafting the Hindi version says “Producer Cherry garu and I always believed that the Mathu Vadalara script has the potential to be told on a larger scale. So we had initially thought of making the film in Hindi too. The appreciation and acclaim the Telugu version reinforced our confidence in the script, and we decided to narrate it to a wider audience (sic.)” Moreover Ritesh says “Although the script has universal appeal, we are trying to tweak it to suit the sensibilities of the Hindi audience, just to make sure that we tighten all the loose ends whilst retaining the core emotional appeal. So I am trying to give a new spin to the revised narrative (sic.)”
Mathu Vadalara also starred Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji, Satya, Naresh Agastya and Athulya Chandra in supporting roles.
