Mani Ratnam Gears Up For His Biggest Movie Launch

Legendary director Mani Ratnam is a Tamil at heart and always speaks about his admiration for the great literature written in the language.  The Kalki Krishnamurthy novel Ponniyin Selvan was a rage when it was serialised in the Kalki magazine and now, it caught the imagination of Mani Ratnam.

Now, Mani Ratnam is getting ready to officially launch the shoot of his movie Ponniyin Selvan in Thailand.  Ponniyin Selvan denotes the rise of Raja Raja Chola as an emperor.  Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Keerthy Suresh and Aadhi Pinisetty play primary roles in the movie.

Mani Ratnam is set to start the shoot during the first week of December.

  Mani Ratnam’s Tamil fans are already calling this mammoth project the next big thing after the Bahubali series.

It will be interesting to see, how Ponniyin Selvan turns out!
