The release date of Manchu Vishnu’s ‘Kannappa’ was made official today. The film will hit the screens on April 25th, 2025.
“The untold story of Lord Shiva’s greatest devotee,” the makers said about their film. “The Greatest Warrior. The Ultimate Devotee,” the film’s tagline reads.

Also starring Mohan Babu as Mahadeva Shastri, the devotional action drama will also feature Vishnu’s son, Avram Manchu. Rebel Star Prabhas will be seen in a cameo, as a divine personality in human form. Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, Mollywood actor Mohan Lal, and Kajal Aggarwal will also be seen in the movie.
24 Frames Factory has employed as many as 2,000 VFX artists to work on the post-production of this epic devotional adventure film.
Kannappa also features Sarath Kumar, Brahmanandam, Raghu Babu, Madhubala, Aishwarya Bhaskaran, Preity Mukhundan, Rahul Mahadev, Surekha Vani, Saptagiri, and others. Kannappa is directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh. Seldon Chau is the Director of Photography. Edited by Anthony Gonsalvez, its action choreography is by Kecha Khamphakdee.
