Actor and filmmaker Adivi Sesh will be next seen in the upcoming pan Indian film, Major, along with Sobhita Dhulipala in the female lead role. Adivi Sesh is playing the role of 26/11 Martyr Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who lost his life in the horrific incident. On the note of paying tribute to the brave soldier, the makers of the film have released a BTS video of what inspired them to make a film on the martyred soldier.
The makers of the film, GMB Entertainments, shared a video in which lead actor Adivi Sesh is seen speaking about playing Martyr Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan in the film. Sesh said in the video, “Major Sandeep has been on my mind since 26/11. I was in San Francisco, USA and saw him for the first time on the local news channel and thought who is this man. I felt like he was my big brother, I saw madness and spirit in his eyes (sic.)”
Adivi Sesh explained how he convinced his parents as Major’s father didn’t have any belief in him. Later, after many meetings, Major’s father told Adivi Sesh that he has 10% confidence that he can make a movie about his son. Recounting the final nod from Sandeep’s parents for the film, Sesh said, “After many meetings and days, Sandeep’s mother called me and said that she could see her son in me, that’s when I began the hunt for director and producer. When finally everything got sorted, I was very scared but Sandeep philosophy of hard work and sincerity motivated me to play his character on screen (sic.)”

Adivi Sesh also shared a look test of Sandeep Unnikrishnan at the end of the video. The resemblance of Adivi Sesh and Sandeep is so uncanny that it will give you goosebumps. Watch the full video here:
Major is directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka. Major is jointly produced by Mahesh Babu, Sony Pictures India and A+S Movies. This movie will also mark the debut of Mahesh Babu as a producer with his banner GMB Entertainments. The team has recently wrapped up the entire shoot of Major and is all set to hit the theatres very soon.
