A couple of months ago, it was made official that Superstar Mahesh Babu would be voicing Mufasa in the upcoming Disney film, Mufasa: The Lion King. On Wednesday, the Guntur Kaaram actor shared the trailer of the movie in Telugu.
Taking to social media, the Sarkaru Vaari Paata actor wrote, “Hakuna Matata Mufasa it is! The new roar. One month from now, get ready to watch Mufasa: The Lion King in cinemas from 20th Dec (sic).”

The Telugu version has a few other artists associated with it on the dubbing side. Legendary comedian Brahmanandam has dubbed for Pumbaa, while Ali has voiced for Timon. Satyadev, whose Zebra hits the screens this Friday, has dubbed for Taka.
Announcing his association with the project, in August, Mahesh Babu wrote, “A new dimension to the character we know and love! Extremely excited to be the voice of Mufasa in Telugu and having been a massive fan of the classic, this is a special one for me! Long live the king”.
Barry Jenkins is the director of Mufasa, which will be available in the Telugu States in a notable way. The musical drama will be released globally on December 20th.
