Sitaare Zameen Par, starring Aamir Khan in the lead, is directed by RS Prasanna. Producers Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit have pitched this as a spiritual successor of Taare Zameen Par, released in 2007. Co-starring Genelia Deshmukh, Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishnan Varma, Vedant Sharmaa, Naman Misra and others, it hit the screens on last Friday.
Superstar Mahesh Babu has found the sports dramedy quite compelling. “The film shines so bright and how…..It’ll make you laugh, cry and clap!! Like all Aamir Khan’s classics, you’ll walk out with a big smile on your face… Love and Respect (sic),” the actor, who is currently working on a movie directed by SS Rajamouli, wrote.

Sitaare Zameen Par is based on a foreign film. The sports comedy is inspired from Champions, a famous Spanish sports comedy-drama film released in 2018. The Hindi adaptation was made after a painstaking pre-production stretch.
Aamir Khan’s performance in the movie has been highlighted by critics. Recently, the Dangal actor confirmed a superhero movie to be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
