Lucky Baskhar has become a unanimous Diwali blockbuster by grossing Rs 12.70 crores on day one. The film was released in theatres on Thursday (October 31st).

Speaking to the media on Friday, producer S Naga Vamsi said that he hasn’t come across a single negative comment about Lucky Baskhar on social media. Director Venky Atluri said that he was relieved after the unanimous positive talk about Wednesday’s evening premieres in the Telugu States. “The high moments in Lucky Baskhar are being enjoyed. The response has been great in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and overseas as well. The Malayalam audience are seeing our film as a straight one, not a dubbed one,” the director said, adding that he did have certain apprehensions about how the movie might be received by the audience. Despite no action sequences, the film has been accepted even in C centres, Atluri said.
Dulquer Salmaan‘s performance, the production values, the mass moments in the film, and the climax have been loved by the audience.
