Kuberaa has been running to packed houses in North America as well. “Kuberaa crosses $1.9M+ with housefuls and unstoppable love all around,” the makers today added, celebrating their movie’s excellent run in the overseas market. It has almost entered the $2M club.

Released in theatres on June 20th (last Friday), the human drama has been made as an action thriller drama involving a billionaire, a beggar and an honest former CBI officer. Starring Dhanush, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Jim Sarbh and Rashmika Mandanna, Kuberaa is produced by Suniel Narang and P Ram Mohan Rao.
Speaking at the movie’s recent success event, director Sekhar Kammula said that the story of Kuberaa was above his range. “With love stories, I can gauge the result. But Kuberaa is the kind of story that is beyond me. I spent years writing it. Since it is too ‘hatke’, I had my doubts. I was worried if it was too different. But all my fears ended after FDFS,” Kammula said.
The film’s music has been composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Besides his music, Niketh Bommi’s outstanding cinematography has received superlative applause.
