The sad events in Kerala’s Wayanad district have been covered by the media; the region has been severely struck by persistent rains, which has caused a devastating landslide in multiple villages.
Over 280 people have died as a result of the landslides so far, and it is thought that number may rise, making this terrible natural calamity even more tragic than anticipated. While the disaster sent shockwaves to the entire nation, NDRF, the Army, the Police Department, Fire Department, and the good Samaritans in the local area have been working round the clock on the site, as a part of the disaster management.
On this note, moved by the prevailing situations, Tamil actors Suriya Siva Kumar, his wife Jyothika, and Karthi have together donated a huge amount of 50 Lakhs to the Kerala CM Relief Fund. The trio has also sent their deepest condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones in this natural calamity.
