Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh, the popular Bollywood movie, was released in theatres in April of this year. Its Telugu-dubbed version is now gearing up for theatrical release. Suresh Productions has finalized the release date.
In an update on Wednesday, the production house stated that the movie will be released in Telugu on May 23rd. “What was buried wasn’t just the truth – it was unserved justice,” the banner wrote on social media.

The historical courtroom drama film is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi. Based on the book The Case That Shook The Empire by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat, its plot revolves around a court case that followed the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.

When the Hindi original was released, a film critic wrote that Kesari Chapter 2 is a “powerful and immensely engaging movie based on the Jallianwalla Bagh massacre and the fearless lawyer, Shankaran Nair, who shook the foundation of the British Empire”.
