Karthikeya 2 is a franchise film to Karthikeya, a thriller drama released in 2014, starring Nikhil Siddharth as the main lead. The team of Karthikeya 2 claims this movie would be much bigger than the first part. Though this film has been on the news very much, there is not much clarity about the stars associated with this project.
The rumors about Anupama Parameswaran not being a part of this film have been the biggest buzz about this film. However, the Director, Chandoo Mondeti denied these rumors in a recent interview and said “Anupama is the lead actress and she is very much there in our film(sic.)”
Speaking with a local daily newspaper about the shooting schedule, Mr. Mondeti said he is planning to shoot the film in Cambodia, as originally planned. “Once international flights resume to Cambodia, my cinematographer and I are planning to go there to fix the shooting sites(sic.)”
The director further explained the story needs to be shot in Cambodia, Gujarat, Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad. “We have already locked the shooting sites in Gujarat and now we are planning to do Cambodia. We will work with a limited crew whenever we get permission for the shootings. If the Cambodian government requires it, we are even prepared to go into quarantine for a week. We will go for all tests the government needs(sic.)”

The Nikhil Siddharth starrer Karthikeya 2 is being produced by T.G. Vishwa Prasad and Abhishek Agarwal under their banners of People Media Factory and Abhishek Agarwal Arts, respectively. The music will be scored by Kaala Bhairava and cinematography will be handled by Karthik Ghattamaneni.
