It is known that an An Air India passenger plane bound for London Gatwick crashed shortly after taking off in Ahmedabad earlier today. Saddened by the tragic accident, Manchu Vishnu has called off a Kannappa event scheduled for Friday. He also postponed the release of the movie’s Trailer by a day.
“My heart breaks for the lives lost in today’s Ahmedabad Air India crash. In deep mourning, we are deferring the Kannappa trailer release by one day and canceling tomorrow’s Indore pre‑release event. My prayers are with the families during this unimaginably difficult time,” Vishnu wrote on social media.

Kannappa, directed by Mukhesh Kumar Singh, has Prabhas in a 30-minute role. Akshay Kumar and Mohanlal have noted cameos. To be released worldwide in theatres on June 27th, the big-ticket multi-lingual release also features Mukesh Rishi and Sarath Kumar. The Monsoon release has Preity Mukundan, Arpit Ranka, Brahmanandam, Saptagiri, Madhubala, Aishwarya Bhaskaran, Brahmaji, Devaraj, Raghu Babu, Siva Balaji, Sampath Ram, Lavi Pajni, Surekha Vani, Kaushal And Adhurs Raghu in different roles.
Twenty Four Frames Factory and AVA Entertainment have produced it.
