Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan’s most anticipated movie Indian 2 is gearing up for its grand release on July 12, amidst huge buzz. While the makers are leaving no stone unturned to promote the movie, the movie’s censorship formalities also have been wrapped up.
The Censor Board grants Indian 2/ Bharateeyudu 2 a U/A certificate after recommending five edits to the final version. Additionally, it has been disclosed that Indian 2 has a nearly 180-minute runtime.
With influential films like “Indian,” “Shivaji,” “Robo,” and others, Tamil filmmaker Shankar Shanmugham gained worldwide recognition for his ability to write screenplays that appeal to both the intellect and the emotions.
Shankar and Kamal set the trend in 1996, when Indian / Bharateeyudu was first released, creating ripples about the movie’s narrative and also every other technical aspect. Being the sequel to the old blockbuster movie, Indian 2, is predicted to replicate the same kind of timeless magic.
Actresses Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, and Priya Bhavani are to portray significant roles in Indian 2, while Siddharth, SJ Suryah, and Gulshan Grover will play fascinating roles too.
The original Tamil version, “Indian 2”, is a joint venture between Red Giant Pictures and Subaskaran Allirajah’s Lyca Productions. It is being released as Bharateeyudu 2 in Telugu and Hindustani 2 in Hindi.
Indian 2 is slated for its mammoth worldwide release on 12 July 2024.
