The Tamilnadu government issued some directive measures and also released a relaxation of lockdown on May 11. And post this, the big-budget films have started post-production work following the statement released by the Film Employees Federation of South India. Director Shankar’s big-budget film, Indian 2, starring Kamal Haasan has also started the editing work in two different studios in Chennai.
The film has completed 60% of the shooting but later the shooting was stopped after an accident on the film’s set in Poonamallee, which killed three people. Presently, there is talk gliding that the producers may release the film in two parts. This hypothesis has emerged since the effectively shot parts are around six-hour-long, it’s accounted for. Since the story is being described in a detailed manner, it is accounted that the production house is mulling over whether the film can be released in two parts.
However a few days back, there were rumours that the production house and the director are shelving the project. However, they came forward and issued a statement saying that the film is very much on.

Indian 2 is the sequel of director Shankar and Kamal Haasan’s 1996 blockbuster ‘Indian‘. The film is directed by S Shankar and bankrolled by Lyca Productions. The cast of the film includes Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bobby Simha, Manobala and Nedumudi Venu among others.
