Kamal Haasan and Shankar, Kollywood’s top actor and director, respectively, created a sensation and set a benchmark with the film Indian, aka Bharateeyudu, in Telugu in the year 1996. After 25 years, the duo is back with the sequel titled Indian 2, as known to us all. The film’s shoot began long back in 2019 but it got halted for various reasons, including COVID, elections, and others. In between, Shankar moved to RC15 with Ram Charan and Kamal Haasan moved to Vikram with Lokesh Kanagaraj. Since Vikram was released and RC15 is getting to the final stages of production, Indian 2 is all set to be back on the floors again.
Kamal Haasan and Shankar are both very excited to resume the production of Indian 2, as stated by themselves on several occasions. The audiences were equally excited about the update to the Indian 2 production. There had been no updates from the creators in days. Today, in a live interaction on social media, Kajal Aggarwal, the lead actress of Indian 2, said that she will be joining the sets of Indian 2 from September 13th. From this update revealed by Kajal Aggarwal, the audiences are drawing the conclusion that the production of Indian 2 will resume on September 13th. Well, the audience need to wait for the official update from the makers.
Indian 2 is produced by Lyca Productions. Red Giant Movies is presenting it. Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Samuthirakani and Bobby Simha are playing special roles in the film. Anirudh Ravichander composed the music. Rathnavelu is the cinematographer and Sreekar Prasad is the editor.
