The highlight of the visit came in the form of an encounter with a Japanese fan whose admiration for RRR went far beyond mere appreciation. This dedicated fan shared that she had been so influenced by the period action drama that she was inspired to learn Telugu.

Here is what Jr NTR wrote on social media: “My visits to Japan always give me beautiful memories but this one hit differently. Hearing a Japanese fan tell me she learned Telugu after watching RRR truly moved me. Being a lover of cinema and languages, the power of cinema to be a bridge across cultures and encouraging a fan to learn a language is something I will never forget. One more reason to celebrate Indian Cinema as it travels the world.”
The Japan version of Devara is scheduled for a March 28th release. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film domestically had a 50-day run in as many as 52 centers in AP and Telangana last year. Ceded, East, and Nizam territories contributed the maximum to the list of 52 centres. Uttarandhra, Guntur and Krishna follow. Starring Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Srikanth and others, Devara has music by Anirudh Ravichander.
