Bollywood star hero Saif Ali Khan has undergone a surgery after he was attacked with a knife by an unknown assailant at 2:30 am today. “There was an attempted burglary at Mr Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing a surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter. We will keep you updated on the situation,” the actor’s team has stated.
Jr NTR has tweeted that he is praying for the health of his Devara co-star. “Shocked and saddened to hear about the attack on Saif sir. Wishing and praying for his speedy recovery and good health,” the RRR and Aravindha Sametha actor wrote.

Saif Ali Khan and Jr NTR are fond of each other. Their bond took root during the making of Koratala Siva’s Devara, which was released in theatres last year. “When I saw him shooting on set, he seems to grow in stature and becomes a larger-than-life person in front of the camera, which is a very great star quality to have. And after the cut, he goes back to being a normal and fun person. It has been so nice working with him,” Saif was quoted as saying about Tarak by NDTV.
