Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan’s most-awaited upcoming movie ‘Indian 2’ has brought him and director Shankar Shanmugam back together after a long time. The movie which will be concurrently released in Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil on July 12, 2024 has been the talk of the town for a while now.
On Monday, the makers of Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 announced that the second single from the film will be released on May 29.
“A symphony is about to bloom! 🌸 The 2nd single from INDIAN-2, a Rockstar ANIRUDH musical, is dropping on May 29th. 🎼 Get ready to be swept away”, the makers wrote, as they shared their excitement through a refreshing poster from the movie.
The producers had previously released the first song in multiple languages, which exuded a strong sense of patriotism.
Indian 2, a follow-up to the 1996 movie Indian, sees the return of Senapathy, a former freedom fighter who is now a vigilante who hunts down dishonest and corrupt people who, in his opinion, are abusing the freedom he fought for.
Following its 2017 announcement, there were multiple production setbacks for the movie. After 28 years, Shankar and Kamal Haasan are getting back together for the movie.
The film stars Kajal Aggarwal as the female lead, with Siddharth, Bobby Simha, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Samuthirakani playing important parts. Indian 2 is produced by the renowned Lyca Productions in association with Red Giant Movies, while Anirudh Ravichander has worked on the musical part.
