One of the creative and influential directors of Tollywood Shekhar Kammula just seems like a person next door in his outward appearance. The number of movies he directed may be small in number, but his mark in the Telugu film industry is big. He is one of the very few directors who writes their own stories. Sekhar Kammula was born on February 4, 1972 in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh. However, his upbringing and studies went in Hyderabad. Sekhar made his maiden film Dollar Dreams in 2000 and turned everyone’s head. The film won him a National Award for Best Debut Director. Afterwards Shekhar has made a name for himself with films like Anand (2004), Godavari (2006), Happy Days (2007), Leader (2010), Life Is Beautiful (2012), Fidaa (2017) and Love Story (2021).
