Gargi Telugu Movie Review:
Story:
In Hyderabad, Gargi (Sai Pallavi), a teacher, lives a respectable life. A girl child was allegedly raped by her father (RS Shivaji), a security guard, in the apartment he guards. He is taken into custody by the police, and the defenceless Gargi fights for justice with the assistance of a rookie counsel named Gireeshan Kappaganthula (Kaali Venkat). Will she prevail in court? How can a novice lawyer present the case? All these questions will be answered as the film progresses.
On-Screen Performances:
The lady power star, Sai Pallavi, once again amazed the audience with her mesmerising performance. She perfectly suits the role of a middle-class woman with a number of problems. She pulled off the role of Gargi with such ease. It’s difficult to imagine another actress in that role. Such an amazing performance was delivered by the lady powestar.
Kaali Venkat gave a very convincing performance as a lawyer, especially in the courtroom scenes. He perfectly balanced both the emotions of having inexperience in dealing with a case and also showing the intention of winning that case.
RS Shivaji, Jayaprakash, and Aishwarya Lekshmi all justified their roles. The little girl who played the young Gargi impressed the audience.
Off-Screen Highlights:
Director Gautham chose a simple story for Gargi, but he nailed it with his presentation style. The narrative of the film is very interesting right from the very beginning. The screenplay of the film is also great. The real strength lies in the writing, especially the courtroom drama. Also, the director presented the women and their problems in a great way. The dialogues are very appealing.
Govind Vasantha’s music is the best technical aspect of the film. His background score intensified and boosted many scenes, making them interesting.
Sraiyanti’s cinematography and Shafique’s editing are good. The production values are also decent.
Endnote:
Overall, Gargi is an emotive legal drama that discusses sexual abuse with a twist. Sai Pallavi’s stunning performance stole the show. Gargi is a great watch, with the perfect execution of courtroom scenes in the second half. Gargi is absolutely for you if you enjoy serious courtroom dramas.
