Energetic Star Ram Pothineni and maverick director Puri Jagannadh, who gave a stellar hit with ‘iSmart Shankar’, have collaborated for Double iSmart this time. Billed to be a sequel to iSmart Shankar, Double iSmart caught up with buzz ever since its announcement. With strategic promotions, the makers created sufficient hype for the movie’s grand release.
Ram Pothineni and Kavya Thapar play the lead pair in Double iSmart, while Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt is seen in a fascinating role too. Bani J, Ali, Getup Sreenu, Sayaji Shinde, Makrand Deshpande, and Temper Vamsi are among the ensemble of cast in Double iSmart.
Melody Brahma Mani Sharma‘s hit music album has significant impact on Double iSmart’s awesome first day openings as well. The mass entertainer is produced by Puri Jagannadh & Charmme Kaur under the Puri Connects label.
Double iSmart Telugu Movie Review:
Double iSmart Story Line:
The main character of Double iSmart, portrayed by Sanjay Dutt, is Big Bull, a wealthy and influential man. Big Bull is a rapacious affluent man with a hundred-year-old scheme for living a lavish lifestyle. In addition, he has a terminal condition that reduces his life expectancy despite his immense riches and influence.
Expert medical professionals find a tumor in Bigg Bull’s brain and advise altering his memories to those of a different person in order to maintain his business empire.
A common Hyderabadi named Shankar becomes entangled in this tale. Rest of the story is all about how Shankar deals with the twists and what happens next.
On-screen Performances:
Usthad Ram Pothineni, plays a mass role, and perfectly justifies his part. His Hyderabadi lingo is to the point and mass action scenes are brilliantly performed by him. As usual, his energy is infectious, especially his quirky dance steps.
Actress Kavya Thapar, who plays a typical Puri Jagannadh heroine, lives up to the expectations. Ram Pothineni and Kavya Thapar’s onscreen presence is good.
Sanjay Dutt is an asset to Double iSmart’s cast. His brilliance as a baddie, needs appreciation.
Ali, Sayaji Shinde, Makrand Deshpande, Uttej, Pragati, and Getup Seenu give good performances.
Technical Aspects:
Puri Jagannadh, who has created a bench-mark in filmmaking in Telugu, seems to have given a decent comeback with Double iSmart.
Mani Sharma’s music add much more potential for this action drama. While the songs work well, the BGM is perfectly in synchronization with the narration.
Cinematography by Gianni Giannelli and Shyam K. Naidu is decent. Editing by Karthika Srinivas is crisp.
End Note: A great comeback for Puri Jagannadh. Ram Pothineni’s engery is unmatched. Double iSmart serves as a good entertainer for mass-loving audience.
