Rajendrudu Gajendrudu: Released in 1993, the comedy film was directed by SV Krishna Reddy, and featured Rajendra Prasad as the leading man. This one of the early films starring Soundarya narrates the story of an elephant taking revenge on the killers of its past owner with the help of a happy-go-lucky jobless man.
The film in brief, as per Prime: Rajendra (Rajendra Prasad) wins Gajendra (Elephant) as a lottery prize and decides to keep it despite not being wealthy. They also avail a loan which moderates their expenses for a while. Just when Rajendra and Gajendra unique bond of love begins to develop, things fall apart because of a smuggler (Vidya Sagar) who is also a cold-blooded murderer of Gajendra’s earlier master (Gummadi).
Andala Rakshasi: Released in 2012, this romantic tragedy marked the debut of Sita Ramam director Hanu Raghavapudi. Co-produced by SS Rajamouli, the narrative is brought to life by Naveen Chandra, Rahul Ravindran and Lavanya Tripathi as much as by Radhan’s timeless music.
Gautam (Rahul) falls in love with a girl. Later he sees her in a hospital and learns that she is Midhuna (Lavanya). Incidentally, his father has set his marriage with Midhuna. But Midhuna loves Surya (Naveen Chandra). Find out what the quirk of fate has in store for the three characters.
Sri Rama Rajyam: Released in theatres in 2011, the devotional film was directed by Bapu, who wrote the acclaimed movie in collaboration with his long-time colleague, Mullapudi Venkata Ramana. Nandamuri Balakrishna and Nayanthara, as Rama and Sita, enlivened the beautiful script. Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Srikanth, as Valmiki and Lakshamana, respectively, gave memorable performances.
Ilaiyaraaja’s songs fetched him the Nandi Award for Best Music Director. Sri Rama Rajyam also won six other Nandis.
Pressure Cooker: The new-age film narrates the story of a young man who is in a dilemma as to whether he should go to the United States to work according to his father’s wishes or stay back in India, his comfort place. The family entertainer also has everything from romance, humor, relationships and anguish. All the elements of the movie are beautifully tied up by the director duo Sujoi and Sushil. The acting of Ronak and Preethi look like they are seasoned actors and are beautifully complimented by the performances of Rahul Ramakrishna, Tanikella Bharani and CVL Narasimha Rao.
Narayana & Co: A middle-class family in financial distress agrees to an illegal deal and embarks on a hilarious journey to overcome their problems, discovering the true meaning of family in the process. Starring Sudhakar Komakula, Arati Podi, Devi Prasad, Aamani,Sapthagiri, and Ali Reza, the film is directed by Chinna Papisetty. The comedy drama has music by Suresh Bobbili.
Merise Merise: Siddhu, a failed entrepreneur, and Vennela, an aspiring fashion designer, cross paths and help each other achieve their dreams. Eventually, they develop a bond and start falling in love. Headlined by Dinesh Tej and Shwetha Awasti, the film is directed by Pawan Kumar K and produced by Venkatesh Kothuri. Music was composed by Karthik Kodagandla.
