The entire movie lovers are going gaga over SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR, which had hit the theatres today, March 25th. The movie is getting a fabulous response from the worldwide audience. The maverick director is known for stunning visuals, rich movie cast, advanced graphics and above all, a huge budget in his movies. But did you know that SS Rajamouli was tempted to direct a film but could not?
Recently in an interview, SS Rajamouli revealed that he was interested in directing the superhit Mohanlal starrer Drishyam franchise. The Baahubali director was asked about the film that he watched recently and wished to direct. Then, to everyone’s surprise, Jakkanna immediately replied, “ That’s the Drishyam franchise. The first part itself was great, and its sequel was even more thrilling.” Mollywood movie Drishyam 2 starring Mohanlal in the lead, received praises from all corners. The latest word of praise for the film came from Baahubali director SS Rajamouli, is really the best compliment for Drishyam director Jeethu Joseph ever received.
On the other hand, crime drama Drishyam 2 is remade in Telugu, which is written and directed by Jeethu Joseph himself. Jointly produced by D Suresh Babu, Antony Perumbavoor and Rajkumar Sethupathi, the film stars Venkatesh, Meena, Nadhiya, Naresh, Kruthika, Esther Anil reprising their roles from the first part, with Sampath Raj and Poorna playing new roles. The film was released on Amazon Prime Video on 25th November 2021.
