By releasing a promo on Monday, the makers of Thammudu made it amply clear that Goddess Bagalamukhi is a key divine element in the movie. Today, the full version of the song Jai Bagalaamukhii only heightens the devotional fervour. Ajaneesh Loknath makes the best use of the situation. Since director Venu Sriram asked him to make it sound like a religious song, the composer leaves no stone unturned. The formidable lyricist, Jonnavittula Ramalingeswara Rao, makes the track feel all the more culturally rooted. If the world-building in Thammudu is impressive, the impact of this song in the theatre will be even higher.

Thammudu stars Nithiin as the hero. As today’s song and the first song Bhuu Antuu Bhuutham tell us, the film’s story is oriented towards multiple characters.
Saurabh Sachdeva plays an evil role. Laya has been doing promotional interviews lately. “I had to put on weight for this role. I gained 10 kgs. In the very first month, I gained 5 kgs. After each schedule, he would recheck my weight so that continuity was maintained,” Laya said.
Sapthami Gowda plays a rural woman. Malayalam actress Swasika, Hari Teja, Srikanth Iyyengar, Temper Vamshi, and Chammak Chandra feature in different roles. Thammudu will be released in theatres on July 4th.
