Superstar Mahesh Babu as Lord Krishna would be a great idea any day. This week’s big rumour in the town, amplified by some unverified media reports, was that Mahesh Babu is playing a Kirshna cameo in Devaki Nandana Vasudeva. Since the film’s hero is Mahesh’s nephew, Ashok Galla, many took the rumour at face value.
The truth is out. Ashok himself has dismissed the gossip about Mahesh Babu doing the film, saying that it is “absolutely false”. While the truth might disappoint the audience, the film won’t, he added.
Hi everyone, my apologies for not responding immediately to the rumors about our superstar @urstrulyMahesh mamayya doing cameo role as lord Krishna in my film Devaki Nandana Vasudeva.
This news is absolutely false! I’m also very disappointed that such misleading news has spread…

“I am also very disappointed that such misleading news has spread and again sorry for responding so late, I am currently filming for the next movie in New York City and completely missed seeing this spread on social media. To be clear it would a very big personal and also career defining moment if there truly was such a cameo in any of my films and I would be the first one to share such news,” Ashok wrote on social media.
“Finally I please request everyone to refrain from spreading such rumors and while this may disappoint a few, I am confident that the movie will not,” he further wrote.
Devaki Nandana Vasudeva will be a November 14th release in theatres.
Sithara Entertainments and Fortune 4 Cinemas are producing Ashok Galla’s another movie, which is untitled as yet.
