Synopsis:
Dalapathi is a dubbed version of Tamil movie Thalapathi in which Surya (Rajinikanth) is the central character. He is an orphan who is abandoned by his mother. Hence, he becomes a leader for all the orphans in his locality and fights against the injustice towards them. In this process he meets Devarajan (Mammootty), a smuggler and starts working for him. Devaraj treats him like family and quickly Surya becomes his friend and confidant. Devaraj also approaches the father of the girl with whom Surya falls in love with and asks her hand in marriage to Surya. However, things take a wrong turn and Devaraj’s enemies hatch a plan to kill Devaraj. In the meanwhile, Arjun (Aravind Swamy), an honest collector steps in to put an end to their activities.
