Megastar Chiranjeevi’s films since his comeback have mostly adhered to the commercial movie-making template, especially Waltair Veerayya and Bholaa Shankar. Acharya and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy were different but Waltair Veerayya was more successful than either.
The actor is now interested in doing a social-message movie and writer BVS Ravi is the first one to drop an update about it. Speaking to the media while in Tirumala, on Sunday, Ravi spoke of his near-future collaboration with Chiranjeevi, and the nature of the story he has written for the legendary actor. More details are yet to be divulged.
Ravi admires Chiranjeevi a great deal. Speaking at an event in 2023, Ravi said that Waltair Veerayya was made as ‘Mass amma mogudu’. “The quality I admire the most about Chiranjeevi garu is his capacity for endurance. No matter how high he soars, he is always down to earth. Patience and calmness are traits we have to learn from him,” Ravi said. The writer will be occupied with Unstoppable with NBK (the Aha show) for the next three months.
Chiranjeevi has filmed for Vishwambhara, which is in the post-production phase. The film’s Teaser was released on Dasara. It is directed by Mallidi Vassishta and will hit the screens in mid-2025.
