Yesterday, SS Thaman appealed to trolls to keep the financial health of film producers in mind while trashing movies on social media. The sought-after music director said that it hurts to see the extent of damage the deluge of negative posts can have on movies. “We are decimating our own movies. How do you describe this terrible reality? Don’t kill cinema! Big directors are taking our cinema to international levels. We are flying high. We are duty-bound to protect our cinema. While technicians and actors get a second chance, producers don’t always get it,” Thaman said.
