Truth. Deception. Perception. Mystery. These elements are the hallmarks of Blind Spot, to be released in theatres on May 9th. Naveen Chandra, who plays an investigator in this intriguing mystery thriller, has opened up about the movie’s merits.
“When I watched the trailer, I was stunned. Usually, it’s not easy to make trailers of suspense thrillers. So, cutting the Blind Spot trailer was no small deal.
This is an investigative thriller that centers on dialogues and conversations. If a character is asked a question, her or his answer will lead to a new question.
This is the toughest film I have ever worked on. The camera doesn’t substitute for performances in Blind Spot. The static frames necessitated that the actors had to perform carefully. It’s not easy to perform in static and close-up shots.
Our director (Rakesh Varma) was pretty cool on set. He is the only filmmaker I have worked with who never raised his voice even once on set. Shooting for Blind Spot was like doing a reality show. We shot at a stretch for 24 nights in a single schedule in a single house.
The story and the situations various characters are in will evoke a range of reactions from the audience. You will sympathize with someone, you will be intrigued by another, so on and so forth. Harika Pedada’s memory is strong. She could mouth a one-minute monologue so well.”

This May 9th release has Naveen Chandra sharing screen space with Rashi Singh (as Divya), Ali Reza, Ravi Varma, Gayatri Bhargavi (as the maid), Kishore Kumar, Harika Pedada, and Harsh Roshan (of the recent Court fame). Sriram Maddury has composed the BGM.
The film is proudly produced by Ramakrishna Veerapaneni, and presented by Mango Mass Media. The movie’s theatrical release will be by UV Creations.
