Jr NTR has been known for versatility, intensity and emotional range. In a career spanning more than two decades, he has carved a national profile for himself. After RRR and last year’s commercial success in the form of Devara, he is now a ‘Watch this space’ action hero to reckon with. As Jr NTR turns a year older in a few hours, TFN looks at his thriving filmography.
Following the roaring success of Devara: Part 1 in 2024, Jr NTR has solidified his place. The film’s commercial triumph was not just a win for the box office but a showcase of his ability to carry an action thriller drama with finesse. Devara 2 will be bigger and better.
But Tarak’s ambitions stretch far beyond. His upcoming slate of projects reads like a dream. War 2, the much-awaited sequel in the YRF Spy Universe, sees him sharing the screen with Hrithik Roshan under Ayan Mukerji’s direction. This one is a 14 August 2025 release in theatres.
Then there’s the untitled project with Prashanth Neel, where Tarak’s larger-than-life persona is expected to meet Neel’s gritty, mythic storytelling. This is a 25 June 2026 theatrical release.
Add to that a promising venture with Sithara Entertainments, and it’s clear that Jr NTR is not just climbing—he is soaring. The name of its director for this project and other details will be made official in due course of time.
