Kaantha, produced by Rana Daggubati’s Spirit Media and Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films, was launched last year. It commenced filming in September 2024. Directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, the pan-Indian movie features Dulquer Salmaan in the lead.
Today, the makers of the film put out a special poster of Bhagyashri Borse, who is playing the female lead. “In the echoes of history, her love still whispers,” the caption mentioned by the makers said.
The actress debuted in Telugu with Ravi Teja’s Mr. Bachchan last year. She is also doing Ram Pothineni’s 22nd movie and Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom.
Kaantha also features Samuthirakani in a prominent role. Recently, talking about the movie, Dulquer wrote, “I got to play a timeless role in a timeless story. I couldn’t ask for a bigger gift to celebrate my 13 years in the industry. Grateful to the entire team of Kaantha and to the wonderful audiences who have given me all the love and encouragement any actor would dream of.”
Dani Sanchez Lopez handled the cinematography and music composed by Jhanu Chanthar. The art direction is by Ramalingam, the script is written by Tamizh Prabha and Lewellyn Anthony Gonsalves serves as the editor.
