Attending the inaugural of a commercial venture in Eluru, Nandamuri Balakrishna on Friday reconfirmed the release date of Akhanda 2. He stated that the date (September 25th) was announced on the very day on which Pooja was held.
“These days, they keep changing release dates of their movies. But we announced our movie’s release date right on the day of launch,” Balakrishna said.
He added that the climax of the high-octane action drama was shot in Georgia recently. He acknowledged the tremendous reception to the recently-unveiled Teaser of his film. The explosive teaser was released on the eve of his birthday last week.
Shot also in the Himalayas and in multiple other locations across India, Akhanda 2 is directed by Boyapati Sreenu. Even in biting cold, Balakrishna held his ground and successfully completed challenging shots for the movie.
Aadhi Pinisetty was roped in for a crucial role. Samyuktha of Virupaksha fame has a prominent part. The film is produced by 14 Reels Plus.
Earlier this year, some scenes were shot in Prayagraj during the Kumbh Mela. Akhanda 2 is backed by producers Raam Achanta and Gopichand Achanta. Music is by Thaman. M Tejaswini Nandamuri is the presenter for this true-blue pan-Indian movie. The cinematography is by C Ramprasad and Santosh D Detakae.
