Nandamuri Balakrishna has promised a new innings of sorts. It all began with Akhanda in the post-pandemic era, he suggested. After that blockbuster, he delivered hits in the form of Veera Simha Reddy and Bhagavanth Kesari.
“In 1986, seven movies starring me were released. Six of them were silver jubilee hits, while the other one was a hit. My second innings is going to be a blast. Usually, second innings happens after a fall or a sabbatical. In my case, it is different,” Balakrishna said, adding that his father is his biggest inspiration. “Also, the audience. The encouragement they give me is special,” Balayya said.
He added that it was during the making of Akhanda that he firmly resolved to unleash a new version of himself. “People might think that I am arrogant. It’s not about that,” Balakrishna said.
Daaku Maharaaj will hit the screens this Sunday (January 12). Directed by Bobby Kolli and produced by S Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya, the film’s Release Trailer was released yesterday.
