Star director Atlee, noted for SRK’s Jawan in recent years, was today conferred with an honorary doctorate by Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology in Chennai. He was presented the title along with a plaque of the award.
Atlee’s current hero, Allu Arjun, took to social media to congratulate him. “Big congratulations to Atlee garu on receiving the honorary doctorate. Really happy to see your passion and craft being celebrated at this level. Wishing you many more heights ahead,” the Pushpa 2 actor wrote.

The untitled film of the actor-director duo went on the floors recently. The makers have described their movie as an “emotional action entertainer rooted in Indian values”. Deepika Padukone is one of its female leads.
High-end graphics, visual effects, and Hollywood-level production quality can be expected. The project has been referred to as AA22xA6 (Allu Arjun’s 22nd movie, Atlee’s 6th movie).
Atlee is known for his successful collaborations with Kollywood superstar Thalapathy Vijay, directing him in Theri (2016), Mersal (2017), and Bigil (2019), all of which were major box office hits. His movie with Allu Arjun is produced by Sun Pictures.
