Actor-director Anurag Kashyap will be essaying the role of a police inspector in Dacoit. Introducing the character to the audience, actor Adivi Sesh put out a poster. “Deeksha lo unna Police Nannu pattukuntadu ata.. Nannu pattukovalante aa Devude Digi ravali emo (sic),” the hero wrote.
Last year, Anurag Kashyap starred in a negative role in the Tamil movie Maharaja, headlined by Vijay Sethupathi. After receiving critical acclaim for the role, he is expected to deliver a dekko in Dacoit.

The eagerly awaited pan-India action drama Dacoit will hit the screens sometime in 2025. Helmed by debutant director Shaneil Deo, Dacoit is anticipated to be a standout in the action drama genre. The film is produced by Supriya Yarlagadda, co-produced by Suniel Narang, and presented by Annapurna Studios. The story and screenplay are penned by the Sesh-Deo duo. Script guidance has been provided by dialogue writer Abburi Ravi. Bheems Ceciroleo is the music director. Sri Nagendra Tangala is the production designer. A Vijay is the action choreographer.
