Tamil and Telugu actress Amala Paul and director A.L. Vijay got married in Chennai in 2014. The wedding was a much-celebrated affair, with all the big wigs of the Tamil and Telugu film industries marking their attendance at the event. However, the couple parted ways after a few months of marriage, which ended in separation.
In an interview recently, A.L. Vijay’s father, A.L. Azhagappan, revealed shocking details about what he believes is a reason for the divorce of his son Vijay and Amala Paul. He revealed Dhanush offered Amala Paul a role in the movie Amma Kanakku, which she decided to take up. This came her way after the actress had already decided to quit acting post her wedding to Vijay.

This decision created a lot of turbulence in their married life, which eventually led to a divorce in 2017. A.L. Vijay is now married to Dr. R. Aishwarya, who was chosen by his parents at a private ceremony in 2019.

A.L. Vijay also rubbished rumors which said his parents and himself were hindering Amala Paul’s decision to act in films post her marriage. Therefore, the recent comments by A.L. Amala Paul will next be seen in a Telugu web series slated to be released in 2020. Directed by Nandini Reddy, the web series also stars Jagapathi Babu in a pivotal role.
