Mani Ratnam—the name needs no introduction. The famous filmmaker is all set to make a celluloid version of the classic Tamil novel Ponniyin Selvan.
The movie is a mammoth one, in which many stars from the South are involved. The list includes Karthi, Vikram, Arun Vijay, Mohan Babu and Vijay Sethupathi, who will essay many character roles in the movie.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the protegee of Mani Ratnam, is all set to star in a double role in Ponniyin Selvan, according to reports. Aishwarya is expected to don the role of a mother and a daughter in the movie. She plays a princess, Nandini, who is Mohan Babu’s wife. Mohan Babu plays the main antagonist in Ponniyin Selvan.
It is a known fact Aishwarya Rai Bachchan already confirmed her role in this historical movie.
