Actress Aditi Shankar is the daughter of star director Shankar. She is making her Telugu cinema debut with Bhairavam, scheduled to be released in theatres on May 30th.
In an exclusive chit-chat with TFN, Aditi says that she doesn’t find much of a difference between the Telugu and Tamil film industries. “I don’t find any big difference except for language. In TFI, the hospitality is on a different level altogether. Whether you want it or not, they will take care of you until you say ‘stop’,” Aditi adds, speaking on a lighter note.
She also speaks to us about her father, Shankar, whom she describes as a very strict person. “It is good that he was so strict. I see the point now that I am grown up,” Aditi ponders.
As a child, while watching her dad’s movies and their spectacular songs, Aditi would imagine herself dancing. But she was too scared to tell her dad about all that. “Only after I finished my studies did I have the guts to tell him that I wanted to become an actress,” Aditi shares. How did Shankar react? “He was shocked. He didn’t see it coming,” the budding actress reveals.
Bhairavam co-stars Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas, Nara Rohit, and Manchu Manoj. Aditi has an important song in the movie.
