Rebel Star Prabhas’ Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, had drawn much negativity to the Bollywood movie maker. Adipurush received criticism primarily for its poor visual effects and depiction of Indian Epic the Ramayana. Prabhas was also criticized for his appearance in the film, which hurt the sentiments of few people.
Speaking of Adipurush’s failure to create the expected kind of impact, director Om Raut said that the movie however collected good numbers at the box office.
“We don’t need to worry much about the faceless trollers on social media. Only those who buy tickets, go to the theater, and watch the movie have the right to criticize”, Om Raut stated.
Stating that stars like Prabhas and Salman Khan are flop-proof stars, Om Raut stated that Adipurush still made much revenue even with the heavy negative talk.
Om Raut backs up his assertions by stating, “Adipurush still made 70 crores on its first day in India, over 400 crores overall, with 200 crores collected just in Andhra and Telangana, and 80 to 90 crores from overseas.”
Additionally, he said that Telugu movie buffs and fans would come to you anywhere you were in India or even outside, talk to you, and treat you with the utmost kindness.
